A First, A Last and a Challenge

This is the first word book I have made and I love it. I downloaded the papers and letters from Funky Hand and followed the PDF tutorial on their site for how to put it together, so easy. The pages just shouted out to be blinged up and so I went to town with the glamour dust , the hologram foil snowflakes and the ice blue gems. The letters for merry are from the crafters companion winter tales cd and have been printed out onto light card then glittered aswell. Its a last because its my final Christmas card this year whew !!!

I have also decided to enter this is the Pink Elephant Challenge which is Winter/Christmas

Blog Candy

The December swap over at Craft telly was either walking in a winter wonderland or thats torn it . I choose to do the first and when I saw this image over at Karens doodles (the link is in my side) bar I just couldnt resist it, the joy on the childs face is just so infectious it just makes you smile in return. I coloured the image using my promakers and inked the edge with distress ink then it is mounted it on to a scalloped edge card from craftwork cards. The paper is dovecraft winter blues and the ribbon I bought in the Christmas decorations area of a local shop.

Now the title says blog candy so I better get around to telling you that Karens doodles is offering a complete set of their newly released cling mounted rubber stamps wow!!!

A New Baby

One of my nieces gave birth to a little boy on Thursday morning so I made her this card using the patchwork pals stamp and backing papers by Kanban from QVC. The image is coloured with my promarkers and then the footprint ribbon was added to the spine.

This is the card I made for her Mum and Dad as this is also their first grandchild. The baby is stamped and then coloured using my promarkers and I added some glamour dust to the cloud. I then mattted and layered the image onto some pearlescent card embossed with the cuttlebug swiss dot folder using my Big Shot it was then matted onto some silver mirror card then finally some more pearlescent card madeup the card blank.

A Second Popcorn Easel Card

Another easel card this time made with a stamped Popcorn Bear image that I have coloured with my promarkers. The background paper and the paper flowers, that I made with two different sized punches, come form the pad that I got with my Patchwork Pals Bonnie stamp set by Kanban from QVC. I added some ribbon and some gems from my stash.

Niece's Birthday

I decided to have a go at an easel card for my nieces Birthday today and used my Popcorn Bear Floral cd for the background papers and decoupage. The sentiment is printed with my design runner and I used my big bite to position a designer gromlet as the stopper to hold the card up.
I enjoyed making this design of card and I can see a few more being made :-)
